TWIGGY – a new Icon is born
New name, new design: TWIGGY, Minotti's latest signature chair series, celebrates its Swiss debut with us at the Minotti Concept Store and presents unprecedented changeability combined with a timelessly elegant aesthetic reminiscent of the 1970s.
Alessandro Minotti, general manager of the Italian furniture manufacturer Minotti, called the newcomer TWIGGY a real "heritage piece" at the launch at the Salone del Mobile in June 2022. And indeed, TWIGGY represents a new design language for Minotti, is modular and changeable - and undoubtedly has the potential to adapt to lifestyles that evolve over generations.
Inspiriert von der Formensprache und den Couleurs der 1970er-Jahren, entwarf Stardesigner Rodolfo Dordoni mit TWIGGY eine modulare Serie, die dank der verschiedenen Elemente frei nach Geschmack und Raumgrösse – und ohne Vorkonfiguration – kombiniert werden kann.
TWIGGY is not only conceptually versatile, but is also convincing due to various other factors: be it thanks to its compact size, which makes it a must-have for a home office, among other things. Or because of its modular capabilities in special floor plans. From the small urban flat to the spacious house in the countryside – TWIGGY is a furniture series that adapts to wishes and needs. Just as personal as the room in which it is placed.
TWIGGY is available in all versions in our Minotti Concept Store. The series includes the armchair in Small, Large or Deep, with or without armrests, as well as a chaise longue, a sofa and three stool elements, whose refined quilting stitches are the visual centrepiece. Covered in fabric, nubuck or smooth leather, TWIGGY looks classically masculine in cognac or timelessly elegant in ecru, depending on the version. The curved base is made of brushed or shiny aluminium and is available in a coffee version as well as a silver one.
